So, I decided that my life was too monotonous. Nothing had changed since freshman year. I was still not the officer of any clubs. I was still on JV volleyball. I was still waking up earlier than I wanted to, to go to strictly scheduled classes and then to strictly scheduled sports, and then collapsing into my room at night.
Nothing had changed.
So, I decided to change it. I'm getting an art exemption - well hopefully it'll be approved! - to work with wax, paint, and tissue paper to create something like Andrew Verster's "Skin Markings" collection, which I saw in Grahamstown, South Africa. I have quit volleyball for the pursuit of something I love, and that will give a lot more control of my life back to me. I will be the one motivating myself, not the requirement to be to practice on time.
I am really excited.
